Bull Riding

Rodeo's most popular event, it is also the most dangerous.  The bulls are fast and powerful, and they can weigh well over a ton. Using only a flat braided rope wrapped around the barrel of the bull's chest, the bull rider keeps one hand free. His free hand cannot touch the bull or his equipment. A qualifying ride is 8 seconds. The ride is judged on both the performance of the bull and that of the cowboy. The two judges give 25 points to each which can add up to a  total of 100 points. The Rodeo clown (The bullfighter) is the cowboys best friend in the arena. His job is to protect the cowboy when he comes off the bull.
